Les anticonformistes

La Finesse...

More than a job or even a passion, for the Murat it is all about adventure...and pleasure is the key word.
It is by following this moo that we created the « Nonconformists » vintages.

To tell the truth, there is a very special and sometimes exceptional chemistry between some of our diverse traditional types of vine and our land.

Cherin and Minot Nair, for instance, have indeed a special propension for creating great wines in Vendée.
Once we noticed that, we decided to create vintages in honor of these fetish vines.

« Pinot Noir Très Noir » comes from old vines implanted on a schist hillside facing south-west.
It is converted into wine in flat cone shaped vats and regularly mixed, and then left to settle in casks for a few months before it is poured in bottles.

« Sacré Blanc » then is an invitation to discover the very peculiar expression that Chenin takes in our region. After a soft pressing, the juices ferment in casks for 4 to 6 months. The perfect balance between its aromas, power and fineness make this wine a reference.

Pinot Noir, très noir

« Mouratus Rouge » is elaborated by mixing our old vines of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet sauvignon. The crimson altered schist soil were it comes from originally contributes grandly to making this wine our best elaboration in terms of great red wines...
White « Mouratus » is an exceptional vintage of old Pinot Noir vines converted into white wine!
Extra-soft press and slow fermentation are two keywords to its fineness. The result is a mysterious and unexpected wine with a never ending finish.

The U.F.O (Unidentified Fermented Object), was especially conceived to be enjoyed as an aperitif.
A good balance between aromas, bubbles, sweetness and freshness, the « U.F.O » is a generous white wine, still lofty and therefore it can also be served with a fruity desert.

We cannot forget to mention our confidential « Folle Noir » and « Sauvignon à Notre Façon » that accurately exemplify the expression of Négrette and Sauvignon in our region.
